Captain

After attending the Signal Corps Captain's Career Course, Captains in the branch are routinely given command of a company or serve as staff officers in Signal units at the battalion and brigade level or higher. Signal Captains serve in virtually all combat arms, combat support, and combat service support battalions as the principle coordinating staff officer for communications and information systems (S6 signal officer). Captains may also serve in branch/functional area generalist positions such as Recruiting Command staff, ROTC instructors, Military Academy faculty and staff, or perform Active Component/Reserve Component (AC/RC) duty.
