Ordnance Corps Captain's Career Course (CLC3)
The next step in your development as an Ordnance Corps
Officer is attendance at the Captain's Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia.
This 24-week course prepares Ordnance officers to command an Ordnance Company,
and also serve successfully as a staff officer. The instruction is divided into
four separate course phases:
- Phase 1 offers a curriculum
in written and oral communications, commander skills, Army operations doctrine,
tactics and military history in preparation for company command.
- Phase 2 course trains company
grade officers in their branch-specific critical tasks at a regimental school
at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
- Phase 3 equips students
with skills and knowledge necessary to perform duties as a staff officer on
a multifunctional logistics staff. Concentration is on the logistics functions
and associated logistics support operations.
- The Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth,
Kansas, teaches the final phase and concentrates on staff functions.
