Majors in administrative specialties may serve in staff assignments at various levels. Those in laboratory science may be assigned to staff positions at research facilities, hospitals or medical centers. Officers in behavioral science may serve as instructors or lead clinics, branches or departments in community hospitals. Those who specialize in preventative medicine may do research, serve on a higher-level staff or act as detachment commanders. There are other opportunities for those in the pharmacy, optometry and podiatry.
