Lieutenant Colonel

Officers selected for lieutenant colonel may serve as brigade primary staff officers, battalion commanders, hospital deputy commander for administration and other higher-level staff positions. Those who serve is Laboratory Sciences, Preventive Medicine, Behavioral Science, Pharmacy, Optometry, and Podiatry specialties may be assigned to a variety of challenging assignments.
