Captain

After completing the Officers Advanced Course, Medical Service Corps officers may be selected for company command and primary staff officers at battalions, brigades, and community hospitals. Those with laboratory science or preventive medicine specialties may serve as clinic chiefs, staff officers or instructors. Captains may also compete for fully funded post graduate education opportunities, as well as fellowships, internships, and training with industry. There are other opportunities for those in the pharmacy, optometry and podiatry specialties.
