After completing Chemical Officer Basic Course (COBC), officers are normally assigned as platoon leaders in Chemical companies to gain leadership experience or they may serve as Battalion Chemical Officers. In this stage of their career, Chemical officers gain the technical and tactical experience that will serve as the foundation for their future assignments.
