The Aviation Brigade is the principle aviation organization and is found in Theater, Corps, Heavy, Light, Airborne and Air Assault Divisions. The aviation brigade is considered a maneuver brigade, normally designated the 4th brigade in most divisions. It is designed to fight, command, and resource aviation forces.
