Cavalry Leaders Course (CLC)

The Mission of the Cavalry Leaders Course (CLC) is to train and professionally develop mounted warfare leaders to be Air and Ground Cavalry Troop Commanders, and Cavalry Squadron/Regimental Assistant Operations Officers.

CLC is an intense three-week course focusing on:

•  Cavalry Troop and Squadron organizations
•  heavy and light doctrinal employment
•  tactics/techniques/procedures (TTPs) for Cavalry units in Reconnaissance and Security operations

Operations Orders, Practical Exercises, TEWTs, and Simulations (JANUS) are the tools used to teach CLC students. CLC Students spend the entire three-week course being indoctrinated with cavalry missions and organizations. CLC also incorporates the New Contemporary Operating Environment (COE) into the course syllabus.
