As an ADA second lieutenant, you may serve as a Patriot Maintenance Platoon Leader. The Patriot maintenance support platoon you will lead consists of a support platoon headquarters, motor support section, and system support section.

The maintenance support platoon headquarters exercises command and control over the support platoon. The platoon's motor support section provides organizational maintenance for all the battery's vehicles and generators, vehicle recovery, and refueling. The platoon's system support section will perform organizational maintenance for all Patriot system equipment, including the Engagement Control Station, and all electronics and maintenance test equipment.

As platoon leader, you will work with your platoon sergeant to ensure that all preventive maintenance checks and services are performed in a timely and coordinated manner. Effective communications, reliable transportation, and system maintenance are mission essential. As a Patriot Maintenance Platoon Leader, you will shoulder responsibility for keeping the battery "up and running."
