Captain


Officers will complete both the ADA Captains Career Course (ADACCC) and the staff process (CAS3), and be assigned to a variety of weapon systems. Ultimately the goal is to assign captains to different weapons system than they were assigned to as a lieutenant. This will broaden their technical and tactical expertise within their branch and make them eligible for a larger variety of positions following battery command. Females can now serve on staff and as battery commanders in the general support and headquarters batteries of heavy divisional air defense battalions. Completion of the CCC and CAS3 and a successful battery command or an ADAM Cell OIC (12 months minimum, 18 months optimally), are requirements for branch qualification.
